(Brothers Grimm)
Once upon a time there were three bears who lived in a small house in the woods. There was big big Santa Bear, with a big big voice. There was Mama Bear half the size, with a voice half the size. And there was a Bear, a tiny little one with a tiny little voice.
One morning the three Bears were having breakfast. Mama Bear said: “The baby food is too hot right now. Let's go for a walk in the woods, while the porridge gets cold". So the three Bears went for a walk in the woods.
While they were away, a little girl named Riccidoro arrived. When he saw the little house in the woods, he wondered who could possibly live in there, and he knocked on the door. No one answered, and the girl banged again. No one answered: Riccidoro then opened the door and entered. And there, in the small room, he saw a table set for three. There was a big big bowl, a half big bowl and a small little bowl.
Riccidoro tasted the jelly from the big bowl: "Oh! It's too hot!” he said. He tasted the porridge from the bowl half the size: “Oh! It's too cold!" Then he tasted the baby food from the tiny little bowl: “Oh! This is fine!" And he ate it all.
Then he went into another room, and there he saw three chairs. There was a big big chair, there was a chair half as big and there was a small little chair. Riccidoro sat down on the big big chair: “Oh! This is too hard!” she said. He sat down on the chair half as big: “Oh! This is too soft!" Then he sat down on the tiny little chair: “Oh! This is fine!" And he sat down on it with such force that he broke it.
He then went into another room and there he saw three beds. There was a big big bed, there was a bed half as big, and there was a tiny little bed.
Riccidoro lay down on the big big bed: "Oh! This is too hard!” he said. He tried the half-thick bed: “Oh! This is too soft!”
Finally he tried the tiny little bed: ”Oh! This is fine!" he sighed, and immediately fell asleep.
While Riccidoro was sleeping the three Bears returned from their walk in the woods.
They looked at the table and Big Big Santa Bear said in his big big voice, "SOMEONE HAS TASTED MY MEAL!"
Mama Bear, half the size, said in her half-thick voice: "Someone tasted my baby food!"
The tiny little bear said in his tiny little voice: "Someone tasted my baby food and ate it all!"
The three Bears entered the next room.
Big Big Santa Bear looked at his chair and said in his big big voice: "SOMEONE Sl IS SITTING IN MY CHAIR!"
Mama Bear half the size said in her voice half the size, "Someone sat on my chair!"
And the tiny little bear cried out in his tiny little voice: "Someone sat on my chair and broke it!"
The three Bears finally entered the bedroom.
Big Big Santa Bear said in his big big voice, "SOMEONE Sl IS LYING ON MY BED!"
Mama Bear half the size said in her voice half the size, "Someone lay down on my bed!"
And the tiny little Bear cried out in his tiny little voice: "Someone lay down on my bed, and here she is!"
The shrill voice of the tiny little Bear woke Riccidoro, and you can well imagine how frightened he was when he saw the three Bears looking at him. She leapt out of bed, ran across the room, leapt out of the low window, and ran off into the woods as fast as her legs had ever made her run.
